kinda negative, transphobia

When I was baby: photos of me wearing a dress
When I'm a kid: Feminine face, long eyelashes, almost exclusively friends with girls, plays with glitter tamagotchis and littlest pet shop
When I'm a teen: gangly, even LONGER eyelashes, hair down my shoulders
Me when I'm an adult: cute glasses gay, fluffy with big boobs, wide hips, have been femme for actual years

Transphobes, somehow: wow you could never pass. you'll get clocked from a mile away if you try to piss

In all seriousness though I've been feminine my entire life and for the most recent fifth of it transphobes have been trying to convince me that I'm some sort of ultramasculine werewolf looking motherfucker

Unfortunately for them, butch werewolves are in this season :blobamused:

@RowanBerry never really understood why they're so obsessed with other people, how they look, what they were and which bathroom they go.

transphobia

@tuturto My basic understanding is that it's because they apply that same scrutiny to themselves. They build up a sort of twisted pride towards the objectification of their own bodies, and let out years of built-up emotional tension whenever somebody doesn't connect with that "essential" experience of womanhood

transphobia

@RowanBerry that's a good way of looking at it.

I have been pondering idea that people like simple and clear definitions, because that makes their lives simpler and easier. That way they can react their way through day without having to think small and messy details. "long hair and dress = woman, I know how to address them and behave around them." As soon as they're confronted with something that doesn't fit that model, they are unsure what to do and get defensive.
