@yeenbean Don't worry Senku is just way too smart to ever let that happen. He would never create a wealth disparity that ostracizes certain communities, for instance by withholding access to technological information— And he would certainly never do something as asinine as prioritizing abstract, arbitrary concepts like "intelligence" or "talent" in a way that creates social castes like a ruling caste, a working caste, etc! That would never happen. /s

@RowanBerry I woulda liked the first two eps up until that point a LOT if it weren't for him calling his friend stupid constantly
It's super played like friendly banter but it feels more sinister, like he's negging him so he will follow Senku's every whim & remain loyal

Like, with the introduction of [generic girl] it becomes really clear that Senku already viewed society in terms of "smart, hardworking, powerful, sexually attractive," mutually exclusive traits that are both biologically determined and the single defining factor of a person's role in the community

@RowanBerry like the dynamic of "what kind of jobs do we need to fill in order to create the kind of civilization that can save other humans"
was kinda interesting and leaves a lot of room for them to explore issues with those kinds of civilizations
But now things are just set up like, okay so the idea we need to recreate the world exactly as it was is good and everything that stands against that is bad and that's how every plot point will be written from now on

@RowanBerry also the more I think about it, the more them trying to fight Tsukasa is...weird and silly?
Like...just go to an ex population center, it'll be easier to find the resources you need, and there's no way tsukasa can destroy as many statues as you expect
Also...he doesn't know you need to mix the nitric acid with alcohol or necessarily even how to distill alcohol on his own, so...he'll eventually give up and let you do your thing?
