tf, microfiction 2/?

It's like a buzzing in the back of your brain. Sometimes it's there, sometimes it isn't. At night, just before you fall asleep, you can feel it extend down your spine and across your skull.

It's the little things at first. You feel more awake in the morning. Your back doesn't hurt when you use the computer. That persistent ache in your ankles goes away.

You wake up one day and the "I'm not a robot" CAPTCHAs don't work anymore.

Speaking of fursonas, one of my best friends of over a decade called my new pfp garbage and said "I find fursonas to be on the same tier as [otherkin nonsense]"

So yeah we had A Talk— the kind of talk where I put my foot down because A Line Has Been Crossed And It Is Not Fucking Okay

Anyway on top of all of that and letting the new polycule settle in over the weekend, it's been busy around here. Thankfully I get to relax for a while now.

Oh, right, and getting that private wifi set up? Yeah it was a huge hassle. Imagine waiting a week for a technician to show up (on a Sunday, no less) and then he points to a bunch of *disconnected wires hanging out of your closet* like "yeah so do you have access to this building's cable network"

We were given a free wifi signal, and then it was removed and replaced with a different wifi (with a different password and no prior notice,) and then that wifi slowed to a crawl, and then it stopped working entirely for a day.

When confronted about this, the building manager said that if we wanted "consistent signal" we should contact Spectrum and get private wifi... which wouldn't be included in our lease.

2020 is finally moving into an apartment with decent wifi and an exercise room, and then realizing that the wifi is halfway to being a scam and you can't use the exercise room because of the goddamn corona virus

I'm in that horrible hair place where it's halfway grown out and just. Does not work correctly. I look like a butch lesbian tried to rock a mullet and gave up partway through

Sorry, to clarify: I don't think she needs to *stop* being touch-averse, I'm simply giving an explanation

The only reason this does not happen every day is because my wife is somewhat touch-averse

Would very much like to fall asleep surrounded by comfy people

Fun fact: my canines (teeth, not dogs) are actually different shapes. The right one got chipped years ago and isn't as sharp. So I can officially have my fursona do the anime-style single tooth overbite thing

@irisjaycomics I was like "aw, c'mon, it can't be that bad" and then I read it and no yeah this is the word equivalent of the car in front of you braking at a green light

The meter is all over the place, and for it to work, you need to place emphasis on all the wrong syllables. For a nursery rhyme— a work of poetry primarily transmitted orally— it’s really difficult to build up that rhythm crucial to establishing it in your memory. This is a minor thing, but it REALLY bugs me

Now that I'm not basically sleep deprived, here's a much better drawing
