I used time stop and a single friend enemy to painstakingly scale the entire eastern tower of Castle Lachiem, but could figure out that you had to burn the vines in the PAST to get them to disappear in the future.
My only complaint is that there are a couple of "puzzles" that don't have any obvious solution, and inversely some areas that feel like puzzles when they actually require new movement upgrades.
It has just the right mix of SoTN and Chrono Trigger to feel familiar while still bringing a lot of new ideas to the table. The game is juuuust long enough to feel like a big adventure, but short enough to be really tight and accessible.
It's not even something specific, like the end of the game! It's always some arbitrary midpoint with no context. There's still another 40 hours after the big flash-forward moment. It means nothing!
Please, please find another way to hook the audience. I know it seems like a good idea. But every single goddamn JRPG, we cut ahead so that we can see our protagonist being all dramatic and then it barely comes up until 20 hours later you're like "oh hey it's that scene from the flash-forward" and then all narrative flow has been lost
