Boebert Worries The Weather Channel Will Be ‘Canceled Next’ After Newsmax - The Daily Beast apple.news/A8HUeRzPvT_OJK-aQWr

@1finekitty I might catch hell for this opinion:
Voters should pass an IQ test, or U.S. Citizenship Test (or both), for the privileged franchise of voting in state primary elections.

Or else, we should increase U.S. Congressional House representation by a factor of 5+ from current 800,000 : 1 ratio, toward a more localized 40,000 : 1 ratio.

We can’t keep letting CRAZY control government like this.

@1finekitty . . . additionally:
Our U.S. Senate was originally conceived in kind to England’s House of Lords.
Although partisanship was not accounted for during our Constitutional Convention, the Senate was created ostensibly as a temporal check against ‘factional whims’ arising mainly in House representation.
Senators were originally appointed (as Jurists) to remove electoral politics’ influence.
We need to return to appointed AND single-term senate representation.

@Nyonitz @1finekitty

Appointed by who? Governors? Who do you think DeSantis would appoint?

@ScottSoCal @1finekitty Hey, States have rights.
Florida might decide to allocate its state assembly for appointing Senators to D.C., or let their governor appoint, or a combined measure?
Anyway, it’s only one state and they’d serve only one 6-year term.

@ScottSoCal @1finekitty Look up how each 13-original States chose Senators. They differed.
