We just had solar panels installed, and were warned by the installer that the gap between the solar and the roof would be seen as prime nesting spots by pigeons.
I'm looking forward to it. My neighbors' solar panels have their own nests, I want ours.

20 years ago my neighbor brought me a white dove that she'd rescued from a flock of crows. She was injured, and could fly very well, and I couldn't find a rehabilitation place that was interested in "just a plain white dove", so I took her in. She lived with me for 15 years. I'd get home from work, open her cage door, she'd fly to the kitchen island to eat some broken up unsalted nuts, and keep me company for the rest of the night. She liked to perch on my head.
@ScottSoCal How wonderfulπ€ 15 years is a serious relationship β so, you know how sweet they can be! Iβve rescued a ring-collared dove, for a far shorter time than you, and returned it to the wild (after it healed). Blessed creatures birds, I think of them as angels in (thin) disguise πΌ
@ScottSoCal I hope your wish comes true. π They are such gentle & interesting creatures; good company, too!
