A (then) future space mission to mars takes a detour to the moon. Along with spy intrigue, and sabotage by a "foreign" agent. (They were careful not to name what country was competing in the space race, but it played exactly like a Russian Cold War story.)

I spent this one wondering how they would handle a paradox, with one guy watching his future actions through the Time Tunnel. Does his future self remember watching these events? Has he changed his actions based on remembering the outcome?

But, they simply did not explore that aspect. 🤔

Though, when the Time Tunnel interface locked on to the comet, and the effects unexpectedly affected the control room, it reminded me of Stargate, when they dialed the black hole! 😯

Oh, and some extra drama when Ann improvised a defibrillator with some electrical wires! 😮

Interesting potential to explore whether it is possible to change one's own personal history, as Tony tries to save his father from the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

If they succeeded in changing something so fundamental to Tony's history, what would the consequences be? But, they don't ask that question.

But then they realize that *little* Tony is in the danger zone, and he doesn't remember how he escaped! 😯

It soon becomes clear that at the very least, they have to ensure the events that have already happened, by ensuring little Tony's safety.

Little Tony gets to safety, but his father dies at the base, warning the USS Enterprise to safety!

At least, Tony finally knows what happened. 😔

This aired in 1966, and the time tunnel project is set in 1968. In the first episode, Tony tells the captain of the Titanic that he was born in 1938, making him 30.

But here in Pearl Harbor 1941, he is 7, instead of 3! 😅 I guess 7 is a more interesting age for the story, to remember things etc! 😉

Ah, the war of 1812, that I know very little about! *goes to read wikipedia* 😉

This time we have a man in the present who gets to watch the actions of his ancestor. This would be an interesting opportunity to be surprised at events being different than how family history tells it. Which, in a way they did, just not how I pictured.

Set your alarm clock, it's volcano day! 😱 😂

This episode has a volcano heating up, a stubborn scientist, and some twitchy locals falling back on old traditions! 😯

And the team back at the Time Tunnel base manage to bring Tony back to the present, but it causes a time warp that leaves everyone but Tony frozen in time! 😯 Of course, Tony goes back, to save Doug. 😔
