Woke up this morning to find a crew working on the trees around our apartment complex. There’s a ton of loud machinery (saws, wood chipper, etc.) and I didn’t know this was scheduled for today. It’s been going on for hours. In the past, I would have been very hard on myself for not being able to tolerate the noise better. Now, I understand that my noise sensitivity is just a part of me, and I am taking steps to accommodate myself rather than berate myself. It’s a small but profound shift. #ActuallyAutistic #LateDiagnosed
