Speech issues. When I'm just talking with people I know, and I'm comfortable, talking is easy, so I figured that was my baseline, and the rest was anomaly. But I realized those people are very few and far between, and most of the time I'm tongue-tied.
An exception is the training I did at work, but it's a subject I know well, feel completely confident in, and can field just about any question. So that's definitely a one-off.

@ScottSoCal @TheAutisticTooter @actuallyautistic I had to work on this. I became non-communicative due to bullying in my teens and the less I spoke the worse it got.

I've got to where I can make enough small talk to get by but I'm the same in work, I know my field so expressing myself is much easier,m I can even speak on stage no problem.

The friends I've been able to open up to most are also autistic. I'm still really struggling with diagnosis. To me I'm fucking NORMAL. But then I meltdown.

Thanks for sharing that. Didn't know that was an issue.
I often describe my thoughts as a fast highway and my speech as a small labyrint of dirtroads in comparison.
