Do my #ActuallyAutistic comrades use massage, somatic therapy, osteopathy, TCM, Vagal therapy, Rolfing, and other related disciplines to help with their self-regulation?

@theautisticcoach @actuallyautistics @actuallyautistic I get a massage every couple of months. I'd do more often if money and time allowed. My dislike of being touched by strangers has a professional context loophole; as long as I have a talk with them ahead of time about "I'm never sure if I'm going to be ticklish, but keep the pressure on the firm side and that will help" they always stay on the right side of any sensory issues.

I can sort of do that, for things like dental appointments. I close my eyes and go somewhere else, in my head. Memories, or pure imagination, it doesn't matter, as long as I'm anywhere else.
