What is the relationship of my #ActuallyAutistic comrades with alcohol?
Many of us struggle with addiction due to it being a “social lubricant”. Some of us feel we can only unmask without it. Some shy away just because of what it does to our nervous system. Some enjoy it.

I've never liked the feeling of being out of control that alcohol gives me. I drank more when hubs and I first met, because he managed a bar, and was very involved with a bar-centric charitable group. When that stopped, so did I. I haven't had anything alcoholic in years, beyond cooking with wine.
