If that's the case, then I don't have empathy. If a... I dunno, Nazi, an obvious Nazi, were run over by a car in front of me, I wouldn't feel a damn thing. Maybe annoyance if the incident inconvenienced me.
Swap the Nazi for most anyone else, and I'd be very eager to help, and would be very distressed they were hurt.

I've had stronger reactions to things like that, as I've gotten older. On weekends I have a route I walk for exercise, and there are a lot of black beetles out this year - all the rain has boosted their population, I think. I stagger down the sidewalk, avoiding stepping on the beetles because, hey, they're alive, too.
