Exhaustion after enjoyable events

Last Saturday I spent the day with a group of people. Some of them were strangers. We went to a nearby city and did many fun activities. Even though I was very afraid of the day, I actually enjoyed it very much.

The next two days I felt completely hung over, although I didn't drink alcohol. Today I'm better, but still very tired and a bit dissociated.

Do you know this, too?

Oh, yes. Especially the part about "some of them were strangers"
I'd have done my very best to be "on". Even if it was fun, it would still be exhausting.

@ScottSoCal @actuallyautistic Yes. I was very afraid of the day and told myself I could leave anytime. I also decided that I wouldn't fake being excited or anything. But then, I felt good and was able to enjoy it. Even to the point that I was a bit over the top. Like my son with ADHD when he's actually very tired but appears to be extremely lively and excited.

My expectation was that I would be overwhelmed and get a migraine. It's only the days after that I'm down.
