When do you stop the microwave, toaster oven, alarm clock, etc. to prevent that awful sound?

Oddly, the microwave beep doesn't bug me much most of the time. Probably because I've always been surrounded by tech, much of it beeping, for most of my life.
Turn on a PC, PS3/4/5, or some of the smart gadgets, they beep.

The toaster just scares the fuck out of me every time.

If I had a few bucks... I want to use either vibration sensors or power draw and have my server announce when the laundry is done, but only if I've clicked a button to monitor it. I dont care when my roommates' laundry is done.

"I have talked to our marketing people and they said that today's consumers definitely want an app.
And maybe a social media account, so that your toaster can post a message when it's done."

You'll also want a camera built in, so it can post a picture of the toast on the social media site.
