@AutisticAdam

I've noticed something about myself: I trained myself early to do eye contact, and I do it (intensely, apparently) *almost* all the time. Except when I'm feeling vulnerable/exposed. Then I can't do it.

I think I took it too far. When I'm feeling vulnerable, the intensity often goes up to 11.
I've stared down guys almost twice my size.
Probably unwise.

@fictionalbutnot @ScottSoCal @AutisticAdam @actuallyautistic I don't like being challenged. I go into asshole mode, something I'd rather avoid.

@fictionalbutnot @ScottSoCal @AutisticAdam @actuallyautistic I've had a childhood of being backed into a corner and of being bullied. Something snapped in High School. Martial arts and weight lifting. People don't test me unless they don't know me. I'm not saying I'm tough, I'm saying I lose it. Whatever happens, happens.

@Thumptastic @ScottSoCal @AutisticAdam @actuallyautistic

I really should try to get back into martial arts. I kinda loved it, and I regret never getting my black belt.

@Thumptastic

Yeah, me too. I've only been in two fights in my life, and both times it's been no-holds-barred, whatever it takes to get the other guy down. They've always punched first, but I punched last. I truly freaked one guy out, and he'd do anything to avoid me, after that.

I can only imagine that would of been really difficult to do.

Yet we do these things to.. fit in ?!
