Similar to being queer, I have reached the stage where I'm Super Grateful to be autistic. There's a lot of sensory joy, and a deeper sense of connection that I have always felt around fellow autistics. Sometimes it seems like being nt is a less rich way to experience life. (Of course there's the anxiety. Maybe they get less of that.)

I keep finding more parallels to coming out gay and coming out autistic. Including (especially?) not pathologizing myself. There's nothing wrong about either, they're just aspects of who I am. To change either one would be to change me, and I'm pretty comfortable with me as I am.
