How do you handle unexpected change?
I got a new car - expected change, planned for, researched, anticipated. This was good change. For 2 days it's been in the shop, getting work done, and I'm driving a "courtesy car" from the dealership. Unexpected change, not my car, not my settings, not something I would choose for myself. Although it's a perfectly nice car, I find myself hating it, and getting angry every time I have to get in it. Any suggestions on how to cope with this?
I'm only using it to drive to work and back home. I don't think I could take more than that.
@ScottSoCal @actuallyautistic Limit exposure? Count down the days? Try to just knuckle down and deal with it?
Sounds like there aren't a whole lot of options. I would probably go well out of my way to just not drive it until I returned it...I'd take public transportation if I could, limit trips for shopping to three places in one day rather than one place each over three days...stuff like that.
Not sure what else might help...boosted for eyeballs.
