I just want to say that I am grateful for the people who have openly discussed their challenges with disordered eating.

I don't have the same issues, but it has helped me recognize some unhealthy attitudes I have about food. I'm able to see my own internalized fatphobia and how it fucks with my head.

I don't understand people that get upset when others discuss their personal issues in the open. I usually end up learning something about myself when I read about other people's struggles, even if I don't understand or empathize with those struggles.

No one is required to discuss their issues openly, but I think it benefits everyone when they do. It helps normalize such things.
