In some ways, it looks like something from a Sci-Fi movie, except that, rather than being dystopian, it is a rugged, wild landscape of silence, shadows and light, rich color, and timeless beauty.

To live in a place like this would be challenging, but to visit it, to even know that it exists, is a privilege.

It is, indeed, as if the gods lived here.

Born and raised in Utah, and it is beautiful.
Shame about the people, though.

@ScottSoCal I agree. In the Pacific Northwest where I live, the original people who lived here fared no better. No people does, who happen to be somewhere where a more aggressive people decide that they want, need, and deserve the resources there more.

It happened back then. It happened all through the world throughout history, And it continues to happen now.

The people change. The story doesn't.
