Self-reminder: Meeting a deadline today doesn't mean you have time to take on new tasks! You are moving to a another physical address this week so make sure you successfully relocate first and get settled before exploring new stuff!! :blobcatsweat:

I'm sad because some of my jeans don't fit me anymore! :blobcatcry:

Do I pack to toss/donate them or do I keep them to manifest that I will fit in them again??!! :blobcatmeltcry:

Hey #disability #neurodivergent #tech folks! Not enough spoons so I'm here asking #fediverse for suggestions. I want an affordable tablet with keyboard (Β£200-250) as proxy laptop so I can work outside (because my laptop cannot handle being taken out of my desk anymore!), or to enable me to work when I'm in bed especially when I have very scarce energy! :ablobcatwobwork:

The biggest choice driver will be what you need to do with the tablet. What programs/apps do you need, and what platforms do they run on?

@ScottSoCal I don't need much. Pdf reader, Zotero, MS Office, Google Workspace, GatherTown, Zoom, social media apps, Canva, YouTube, TV streaming apps, but also plenty of space for fun kid apps (I'm pediatric speech/language therapist), AAC (alternative/augmentative communication) apps..

#adhd #neurodivergent #dyslexic and some vision impairment (keratoconus, I need to boost screen sizes to ~120-150%; don't use a reader).
Besides apps, big question is screen size. For me, MS Surface Pro 7 has been the ticket. 13" touch screen, keyboard detaches easily to create a true tablet w/ stylus or mouse or touch. All Windows apps.
Try getting a refurbed Pro 7 or Pro 7+ online for less $ if needed, or go Pro 9 new. cell connection optional
