Autists who also get migraine! Do you think migraine is a separate condition or it is precipitated by overstimulation?

I got my first migraine while pregnant with my first child & on maternity leave. Minimal stress. Light seemed to be the main trigger after that, & possibly stress sometimes, but not always. Rarely get them nowadays & very mild.
I've gotten migraines all my life, starting when I was about 10 years old.
When the aura kicks in, I have a small time window to head it off, otherwise I'm curled up in a dark room for several hours, wishing I could die. Anything to make it stop.
4 Advil tablets, and a brisk walk for about 2 miles, sometimes more. Getting my pulse up and blood circulating faster seems to help. I walk until the aura goes away.
My doctor asked if I wanted a prescription pain med for them, but Advil works for me if I take it in time (during the aura, before the pain starts), so I stick with it.
@niamhgarvey @ScottSoCal @Susan60 @ideogram Me too. Any movement makes it way worse.
