Is developing a Minecraft mod in 2023 worth it with how Microsoft is handling things?

if you're using published fabric apis, then updating things will be quite easy.
if you're using mixins, depending on what you're mixining into, it may be easy or hard to update.
but your knowledge won't become "obsolete"
