Most people go to therapy because the people who should’ve didn’t.

One of the missions in No Man's Sky bugged out recently. I know it happened recently cause I saw a few posts about this specific mission made in the last few days

What frontend (app, web interface) do you use for fedi? (Multiple choices allowed)

BTW, I don't wish to yuck on your yums if this is a thing that excites you.

I'm just very, very on the side of "until your computer/phone/whatever is getting in the way of what you do, you almost certainly don't need a new one."

I'm very jaded by events/announcements/the like that drum up hype to convince you otherwise.

So it turns out grouping together equipped technology modules in No Man's Sky actually grants an adjacency bonus depending on how many modules of the same "family" are adjacent to one other!

Good to see my desire to keep things organized pays off!

Today I learned that multi-tools in No Man's Sky have types and bonuses just like starships

Happy Pride to all those who are unable to celebrate openly and safely. You are loved and seen!

My wish is for games to be self-contained, to not require external knowledge or community-maintained wiki sites!

My husband had to wait for 6 years to capture this view of #TheNeedles.

Taken as the #moon set at 4.30 am last summer. This shot is only possible a couple of times each year. He almost had it in 2016 but it was slightly too breezy and the telephoto lens couldn't keep in focus.

It causes controversy as some think it's fake, I promise you that it is not. It involved much research, persistence and luck with the weather! It's the cover shot on our 2024 calendar #IsleofWight #photography

@athousandcateaus haven't heard of windows doing that! Is this windows 11 by any chance?

I'm hearing "but roguelikes do this all the time!"

and

1.) yes, I don't play roguelikes for that reason, so imagine the face I made when I realized the game I was snacking on tasted that way, heh

2.) roguelikes avoid the issue largely by being short runs. Any frustration you have over a missed set resolves quickly, and you never really needed that set to begin with. "But I really need the climbing gear" over a 100+ hour game is a very, very different deployment of that pattern.

@athousandcateaus got any config that might be turning on your computer at preset times? Maybe some scheduled tasks?
