Many of the reasons corpo-type tech people complain about fedi are the reasons I like it here. That it's run purely by volunteer hobbyists, the anti-brand culture, the lack of a hard central structure of control, lack of profit objectives, or whatever they mean by "scalability" that I hear spoken about all the time.
