I was asked again the other day about doing commissions, and I'm starting to think that once the baby consolidates his naps, and we have more of a routine, I might. But I also have no idea what I'm doing.
I don't know how to set myself up to take payments, or really how to set up my pricing, or how it might work with things like tax, and all that boring stuff that happens as soon as you introduce money to these things.
@Tarale I know an artist in Australia who does private commission work! would you like me to get you in touch with them…?
I know how this stuff works in the US but I'm not sure how helpful that knowledge would be, given taxes and stuff…
@atinyfairy Yeah, or just ask if they have any resources or advice they could pass on, especially if they know how it might interact with Centrelink.
But, given I have no income whatsoever while I'm a stay at home mum, any little bit would help. So I should at least try to look into it.
