Playing #FF9!
@Tobi The only minor complaint I have is I wish they would have shrunk down the battle UI from tablet sized but it's not the worst thing ever.
@legendaryjoeb Ha yes.
It often hides one of the characters...
I actually have one more complaint: The lack of support for analog sticks.
8-way movement and only one speed (two with holding down a button) wasn't even cool on the PS1 back then... 🤔
@legendaryjoeb Oh yes, those were pretty bad from what I've seen!
I've played 1-6 on GBA/DS!
I didn't even know Chrono Trigger was on PC, now!
Doesn't look very good from the screenshots, though...
@legendaryjoeb The screenshots I saw on Steam showed the same non-tiling upscaled tiles as I remember from FFV... did they fix that, too?
@Tobi Couldn't say 100% sure. Those screenshots are about as deep as I've cracked this CT playthrough because as much as I love that game I have other stuff I've never completed before I should finish first before I play CT again.
Accursed growing Steam list...
@legendaryjoeb I keep a "to play" list right here: https://w.h8.lv/s/Syox4ZqX7
It's growing almost daily... 😓
@legendaryjoeb Most of these I have never played, a handful are for replaying.
@Tobi Oof, I know that pain all too well. I've managed to cut my games into a list of stuff I want to prioritize but I've got waaaaaaaaay too many timesinks in there still.
(Technically I'm still on my first playthrough with Stardew Valley but since you can never really "complete" that...)
@legendaryjoeb Hehe.
I played about a year (in game) of Stardew Valley and while I really enjoyed it, I decided it's too much of a time sink.
@Tobi Stardew IS too much of a time sink but it's also too good of a chillout game so I can't bring myself to uninstall it.
I definitely do temper myself on how much I play it compared to other titles though.
@Tobi Yeah, Squeenix dropped it a few months ago and everyone went off the rails because they cheapened out on it. But surprisingly they actually went back and fixed it up so it's not quite as bad as before.
Battle UI is a little heckin' weird for my tastes but for $15 US I'm not complaining so far. (I haven't played it for very long to develop complaints yet, heh.)
