It's so odd... on the one hand I've pretty much given up on #StarWars (since the prequels, the sequels merely failed to re-ignite my interest), on the other hand it bothers me when they "change" "the lore" 😅
And on a third hand, even though it's probably always been that way, and I just failed to notice, I feel like Star Wars "sold out", since being sold to Disney?

The parents of these children feign normalcy (except for "little" Conan's caretaker Kogoro, Ran's father, who simply fails to notice).
The Doctor has the children "solve crimes", which he elaborately stages with help of the police department, possibly under the control of the powerful business magnate Sonoko, and involving her friend Ran and her father.
It is unclear what sway they have over the police, as are their motives.

It is 2018. Shinichi Kudo has been missing for 24 years. His "girlfriend" Ran, now 40, still pretends to be a high-school student, enabled by her friend billionaire-heiress Sonoko Suzuki.
At the same time, Dr. Agasa continues his unethical experiments on inhibiting growth in humans, keeping a clique of five eternally youthful children around, only two of which show any signs of awareness of their unusual circumstance.

Those last ones are made a lot harder by the fact that the controls are nowhere near precise enough and that the camera is almost constantly moving, forcing me to adjust the angle I'm running/jumping at.

And how the hell am I supposed to reliably pull off that hat-jump thing?

I'm trying to get into the "post game" content of Super Mario Odyssey, and I find it rather tedious.

There's another couple hundred moons to collect, apparently, and a couple dozen costumes, one of which costs 9999 coins, and a number of super hard timing challenges and platforming stages.

When I fave a toot, it doesn't always - or even often - mean: "I like the thing you tooted about."

Very often it means "Thank you for sharing, I acknowledge your toot, and I think of you."

Great game, with only two flaws:
1) The "Damsel in Distress" plot they keep sticking with
2) The farther you get into the game, the simpler the levels get, or at least it feels like it.
The last level was was pretty much completely linear...

Finally finished Super Mario Odyssey!
The main campaign, that is. Probably not gonna 100% it, but there's definitely a lot left to do!

So how come on Mastodon it's called *Instances*, when most - if not all - instances run on a separate "server" (whatever that means these days), but on Discord they're called *Servers*, even though they probably have lots of them running on the same "server"?

Option 1 would probably be pretty bad, it'd potentially expose your current IP to everybody who posted a link into the chat.
Option 2 would expose whether you are online and present in a channel. But this is usually public information anyway? Disabling previews when "invisible" (where the chat supports it) should fix that? Am I missing something?
Option 3 would need some kind of sign-up I imagine, and would cost money to maintain. Not very practical for an open source thingy.

What would be the privacy implications of a local chat client fetching previews of linked sites and images?
What if every user ran their own proxy (say on a free Heroku instance)?
What if there was a centralized service, how would that be protected from misuse?
