Alright, peeps, I'm moving.

It's been really great here, though!

Come see me at @tobi@tabletop.social!

The purge bullshit

What the hell! At the train station on the big screen, every second ad (and there are a lot of ads!) is for The Purge, which is apparently a TV show now.
It's a scary looking ad for a - I assume - M rated show... in public, in the afternoon, in a place where lots of children are.

@dzuk AND NO SMILES!
NOT EVEN FOR KIRBY!

spooky halloween things (mild)

@gingerrroot Maybe I watched too many Miyazaki movies, but now I want to place Jack-O-Lanterns everywhere!

Phew! Done with a first, dirty prototype πŸ˜†
It's gotta suffice as a gift πŸ˜…

re: Another rant about how useless Windows 10 is

@slightlyflightyone@vulpine.club Ah, but isn't there a fork of the old open-source version? Or did I imagine that?
Anyway, it's kinda unstable apparently 😦

re: Another rant about how useless Windows 10 is

@slightlyflightyone@vulpine.club You didn't even mention Synergey yet!

re: Another rant about how useless Windows 10 is

@slightlyflightyone@vulpine.club Tempting.
But I talked about that yesterday and dismissed it as impractical :blobtongue:

re: Another rant about how useless Windows 10 is

@slightlyflightyone@vulpine.club I don't think that would work very well.

Another rant about how useless Windows 10 is

Maybe I can build some kind of fix with a teensy or something? πŸ€” :dip8:

Another rant about how useless Windows 10 is

I use a USB switch to switch keyboard and mouse between my two machines.

On Linux, keyboard and mouse are recognizes the INSTANT I switch. Same in the BIOS!
But on Windows 10 I get a popup saying a "New Device" was detected every couple of switches.
Then it takes 15-60 seconds for it to - apparently - install a driver? For a standard USB HID device? Then I get another popup saying it's "ready to use".
How do you foul this up? The BIOS does it better!?

Had to rephrase, sorry. I wrote this just after getting up and I wasn't happy with the lack of precision.
