@nerdybutcute points for honesty, and tbh myself I get it. In my early 20s I would read commentary on current events to see “what I’m supposed to think.” It’s not a mindset limited to the right wing; some of us just have massive rejection sensitive dysphoria and fear of looking foolish in public.

Continuing to think about this in the light of morning. Why did I post anyway if I thought there was a risk?

Because it’s important for trans people to be seen expressing in places where it may be unexpected. As long as the risk feels manageable, it’s important that we don’t hide ourselves from communities we are supposedly a part of.

Hate that I hesitated before making a post of trans joy in a not-explicitly-queer group. And that my heart keeps pounding over the idea that someone’s going to be a jerk about it.

We should be able to express joy without fear.

Hard drug mention (in a song)

So - meth, not even once. But this song goes so hard that I’ve listened to it at least once a day for the last three days

I lost all interest in watching this year's Oscars when I saw a commercial where the whole joke was that Kimmel was their absolute last choice for a host and was hosting anyway.

Glad Everything Everywhere pulled off the sweep, though.

@Taweret@octodon.social it is blue, therefore it is gonzo

Sorry for not posting much lately. I haven’t had an opinion for at least a week now

Wish I’d been quick enough to snap a pic as my bus passed a Burger King with the sign reading “International OCs have arrived” because… what?

@geordie I like to say, “we don’t deserve cats, and they know it.”

@shivian a Chicago faerie gathering? 😮 Say more please! If you can

Kinda loving the amount of people on this bus who are clearly on their way to Valentine’s dates. One dude carrying a big bunch of flowers, another holding on to a heart balloon. Aww.

I’m tired of the Tom Holland “Umbrella” clip. I’ve watched it a few times and it’s fun, but I know so many people who repost it again and again and again because it’s “the rule” that they have to repost it every time it comes across their feed.
