actually, though, i am looking for any suggestions or ideas that might help make the fediverse pleasant or otherwise easier to navigate
i'm working on a new project, basically an activitypub server that is mastodon compatible but quite a bit more lightweight by design (though probably not having things like a media server built-in).
i've completed large projects several times in the past, so this isn't a pie-in-the-sky project.
however, i do need info so what i'm making is actually Good
@ac1dburn hm, this is an interesting challenge. unfortunately, adding more privacy levels is probably not going to be something that i can do bc mastodon is unlikely to honor scope ideas from a tiny little newcomer to the field, haha
there will be a way to back into this with my thing though, since accounts will have the ability to have subaccounts called identities. can create an identity that only has limited followers which could be a good workaround if the interface is smooth, perhaps?
