I got a question wrong on my networking exam because while I did know that there are 255^4 IPv4 addresses, I didn't know what 255^4 is

@monorail I'm kind of mystified why you'd need to memorize that for networking, & I'm worried for test accuracy if it said 255^4 and not the correct 256^4.

@monorail Ah. Still weird you'd have to memorize any 3-digit number to the 4th power, tho.

@arielmt yeah, i'm slightly cheesed just because i /understand/ the limit but instead of using that understanding, i had to make a guess based on "I know we're nearing the end of IPv4 availability and a couple hundred addresses per living human sounds about right"

(it's apparently not about right)
