Internet piracy is frankly unlike other forms of piracy. Before corporations convinced governments to call it a form of Internet-borne larceny by giving it that name, it was simply called copying & sharing.

Copying: the thing computer file systems are designed to do well.

Sharing: the thing computer network systems are designed to do well.

But working as designed without content policing crippling it is somehow a threat to civilization just because it's a threat to capitalism.
