Windows XP turns 25 years old on Sunday.
But the Windows XP you know and remember, Service Pack 3, is only 18 years old.
XP SP3 is in fact younger than Vista (2008-04-29 vs 2007-01-30).
@arielmt people were using XP past SP2?!
Nobody "upgraded" to Vista if they could help themselves. It was too graphically bloated even for many new computers, not to mention the old ones.

@iju @silverwizard This was so true that Microsoft had to extend XP's general support and endorse "downgrades" to XP on new PCs for an extra three years, just in time for 7's release.
