It’s amazing to think how much digitization has made it less likely content will last beyond a generation. Writing on stone tablets last hundreds to thousands of years. An Atari cartridge or Betamax tape is almost impossible to consume today if you aren’t a collector of classic electronics.

I used to think my kids and grandkids would read my blog posts and tweets. Now I doubt Medium or Twitter will still be around in ten years.

I saw a post here (that I can't find) that kinda changed my life.

It said the best first step to changing the world into a better place is to just stop making fun of people. Ever. For anything. Including in your own thoughts that you may never speak aloud.

I try very hard to do this! it's such a stabler and nicer-feeling foundation to my thoughts and my life. It sheds a mental weight/burden I couldn't see before.

This is hilarious. Twitter appears to be DDOSing itself.

Something's wrong with Twitter so feeds aren't loading. Nothing loads, but my Twitter feed is still trying to load, but it doesn't stop trying after so many attempts.

Notice the error message that I'm being rate limited. I haven't done anything more than attempt to view my home feed. Now notice the bouncing scrollbar.

I'm gonna guess there was an bug introduced that was resulting in an endless loop of trying to fetch results, but with no results available, Twitter would have basically been DDOSing itself.

If you got the #Tetris The Grand Master arcade game port for the switch but bounced off it because it was kinda weird to you (or didn't buy it because it's "just another Tetris game") i highly recommend you try playing it in 20g mode for a very new and very different Tetris experience than you're used to. It's quite hard, but very satisfying to get better at. In 20g mode the pieces instantly fall to the top of your stack and you have to move them from there in the lock delay window.

Tetris Effect has a special Master Mode that's kinda similar, but TGM's rotation system and other mechanisms are built around making 20g work in ways that guideline Tetris games really aren't.

There are two ways to play #tgm in 20g on these ports: with a code (down 8 times then C B A, which are mapped to A B Y on the switch) in the main game, or by just choosing it in the score leaderboard mode before starting.
