question for folks who know more about this than i do:

could a person install different linux distros on different external drives and just swap them out on the same PC as needed?

this is totally hypothetical, i have no reason to do this, just popped into my head

@goaty I used to do this with Windows and Linux. I kept the Linux drive in most of the time, but swap in the Windows drive when needed. The only awkward thing with that is that Linux expects RTC in UTC while Windows expects it in local time, but that wouldn't be an issue with multiple Linux distros. So, yeah. It'd work just fine
