RSD's a bitch

The "I'm yours" isn't particularly important. Just the fact that we're roughly equals (or perhaps I do have the power), except in the bedroom, where I'm an obedient little bitch.

One of my biggest fantasies revealed:

"Outside this room, Kat, I'm yours...But in this room...*you're mine*"

So a quick DDG search seems to suggest that I'm the only one with this problem? Searching "worse graphics performance on windows than linux" is mostly people complaining about worse performance on linux, the exact opposite of my situation. This is particularly weird.

Windows 10 didn't run games much better. It also struggled.

I'm wondering how much of it is the SSHD. Like, both the Surface and the Linux install I referenced were SSDs, but both Windows installs are SSHD. But I don't know why that would affect the game *after it's loaded*. It's weird.

My laptop is an absolute beast. 4th gen Core i7, AMD FirePro M5100, 8 GB of RAM, an SSHD. It's pretty good.

My Surface is...good enough. 3rd gen Core i5, integrated graphics, 4 GB RAM, and a SSD.

Clone Hero runs fantastically on my Surface under W10. With MSAA off, it gets over 300 fps.

It also runs great on my laptop under Arch Linux at almost 400 fps.

Under W7? It can't even manage 200. It can barely manage 150. What. the. fuck?!

Not got much to say other than I feel "ban cars" and the subsequent backlash shows the need for us to not try to compress politics down into as small a soundbite as possible. Like, I doubt anyone saying "ban car" wants all cars gone tomorrow without properly implementing public transportation everywhere. But, the nature of politics today is to have compressible soundbites, so even "ban cars *after we get good public transport*" is too much to say.

Aw, shit. I complete forgot that yesterday marked 2 months since the last time I self harmed. It's honestly a little hard to believe that I've managed to make it this far on my own. The only other time I came close was when I had a roommate. I didn't figure I'd be able to stop without the fear of someone walking in and finding out, but lo and behold, here we are. I'm proud of me. This is an accomplishment, and I should celebrate it!

...Unfortunately, I'm broke.

A bunch of white guys moved here then kept getting pissed about blacks getting equal rights (or even "status as more than just chattel")

A bunch of white dudes moved to Mexico, then got pissed when Mexico's laws changed forbidding them from owning slaves, so, rather than moving back from whence they came, they stole a good chunk of Mexico and later decided to join the US, where they'd later get pissed about the US doing the same thing.
