the sanctioned nine (abjah, anglecrab, cobblestone, graveddon, morbazar, nahash, scorthidion, wyl o' pan, and one we don't name so casually) are a pantheon in the game a house of many doors. since the short way of referring to them is just "the nine", they're easily confused with literally any other grouping of nine important figures

overall i'd say i'm rather fond of this pantheon. the whole "none of these are remotely human" thing is pretty endearing imo
