The only way that asexuality is ever going to be accessible to the most marginalized in our community is if we stop trying to define the crap out of it and just accept the fact that different people are going to experience it in different ways and that it's okay.

tl;dr: phrasing required accommodations as a statement of fact and not a request - e.g. going from "I cannot make phone calls for disability reasons, could we continue via email?" to "I cannot make phone calls for disability reasons, but I can answer your questions via email." - reduces the odds that abled people try to argue with the accommodations

Oh, today is Intersex Awareness Day. Neat. Well, uh, just to make y'all aware, I was born intersex and forced to undergo surgical correction, for cosmetic reasons, at age 10 that will prevent me from ever having bottom surgery due to extensive scarring, and also left me with a significant fear of surgery. No, I'm not still bitter.
