uspol, eugenics
@anke@social.scribblers.club @wigglytuffitout@elekk.xyz the thing the US doesn't want people to know is that it never stopped thinking eugenics is good, it just snuck it under the table so they could pretend they were The Good Guys All Along
a wigglytuff's most petty complaint perhaps about us politics
what's that? you don't like food stamps?
they're proven to be one of the most powerful tools for economic stimulus. far more than tax refunds or the like. it's money that gets spent immediately into local economies. i think the figure i've heard is that for every dollar spent, you get 1.7 in return in economic activity. if that was a stock or bond to invest in, that would be one of the most amazing dividends on the market.

i could stand these motherfuckers a lot better if any of their resistances to things because of "b-b-but the budget!! the cost!!!!" actually held water
it actually... SAVES money to give the homeless housing. it is more efficient and is a better use of resources to do so.
preventative care is so much cheaper, every time, than everyone having access to only an ER for healthcare. by vast amounts. VAST!
It's considered rude to run around naked all the time.
Robots deserve sharp suits, too.

whenever you hear me tall about a "monarch" its a 50/50 chance that the payoff is a cool enby character or a royal court staffed only by butterflies
@ItsMorgan aside from wholesale stealing plot elements from whatever you happen to have like, read lately or what have you. you're doing exactly like every dm ever. it's just that the players always think this shit is the fucken bomb & i love them for it
@garbados “For instance, on the planet Earth, man had always assumed that he was more intelligent than dolphins because he had achieved so much—the wheel, New York, wars and so on—whilst all the dolphins had ever done was muck about in the water having a good time. But conversely, the dolphins had always believed that they were far more intelligent than man—for precisely the same reasons.”

algae is the bad boy of creatures. humans can fuck this planet up but algae has fucked it up multiple times like a stone cold bastard
@Soup_Official "average person swallows 7 soup bowls a year" factoid actualy just statistical error. average person swallows 0 soup bowls per year. Soupbowls Georg, who lives in a cave & swallows over 10,000 each day, is an outlier adn should not have been counted
robosting
A display known as "valeting the car" is popular among self-possessed and prideful automata: in response to a rude gesture or shout, one simply chases down the offending car (given the relative power/weight ratios, this rarely takes longer than a second or two), lifts it out of traffic by its undercarriage, and carefully places it in the nearest unoccupied parking space before vanishing into the night.
this does not usually damage the vehicle, but does rather get the point across.
robosting
Catcalling quickly became a thing of the past when humanoid robots became a sizable demographic in cities.
It's one thing to shout at a lone, slow human who won't remember you, but when there's a chance that someone you think is human may actually be a terrifyingly fast and strong machine with a perfect photographic memory, it's a different story.
This understanding was reached quickly after a few extremely short and violent chase incidents made the news.
