I get why a Christian would find Unitarianism appealing. I don't get why people from other backgrounds would want to attend a literal Church on literal Sundays, with none of the music or pageantry or cannibalism of a traditional mass.

On the one hand, the local UU was founded in the 1800s by abolitionists. On the other hand, the people who attend there in 2019 are liberal white homophobes.

@avi w- ... No??? That was one of the biggest appeals was that there were a TON of gay and trans people in attendance? And many black families? What are you talking about ?
