“Any attempt to simulate an economy risks also simulating economics, which is what we call it when millions of individual, rational decisions act together to create utter madness on a grand scale.”
With warthogs.
@grainloom @kazuma if you give a shit about actually making things better for men, you *must* realize that *bullshit gender standards are the same enemy*.
the same voice that says women should automatically get custody of children when a couple splits... is also the one saying that because they think women are the natural caretakers, *and men aren't*. it's the same voice that laughs at "stay at home dads" and rags on getting emotionally involved with your own children as "not manly".
@dankwraith the flat structure + the whole rolling desks thing is just a perfect recipe for creating a bunch of individual cliques with no recourse if you're shut out or marginalized
you cant just sweep away structures and assume everything will turn out fine, you need structures in place to check individual power, address grievances, and develop unified strategy
"But any attempt to simulate an economy risks also simulating economics, which is what we call it when millions of individual, rational decisions act together to create utter madness on a grand scale. Now, unfortunately, economics has happened to Planet Zoo."
@melissasage Lovecraft is like a Sesame Street segment about not being afraid of the dark.
"See, Ernie! There's nothing to be afraid of! It's just a triangle mapped onto a sphere! Now stop screaming about going mad with terror and good night!"
@melissasage That's the sound of worms (Tony Burrello, 1953)
