HIV prevention PSA (tldr you can get PrEP for FREE)
if your reason for not being on PrEP (the pre-exposure prophylactic medicine that almost entirely prevents HIV from taking root in your body) is that it's too expensive, you should be aware that you are entitled to receive it 100% FREE OF COST to you via Gilead's "Advancing Access" program. Not only that, it's so easy to sign up I literally did it in line at the pharmacy when they told me I'd have to pay $3k for my script pickup.
There is no reason for you to pay ANY MONEY for PrEP.

The WaPo’s got a piece up about how white Evangelical Christians are loving what they see in Trump. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/evangelicals-arent-turned-off-by-trumps-first-term--theyre-delighted-by-it/2019/08/11/3911bc88-a990-11e9-a3a6-ab670962db05_story.html
Celebrating harm to others and calling your motivation religion doesn’t get you a free pass in my book. If it takes a civil war to see that these people no longer have the power to harm the folks they’ve decided to hate, sign me up.

#Nordvpn and #ExpressVPN chose to do the right thing in the end and #isolateGab.
Best to reward eventual good choices with praise and business. Here is #Gab’s CEO complaining about the wrench in the works this caused.
some surprising sustainability
Also:
* Growing almonds for almond milk damages ecosystems and uses a *lot* of water. 80% of the world's almonds come from California, where severe droughts can be a problem
* Soy farming drives deforestation in South America. Tofu can have twice the carbon footprint of chicken
* Fish populations are dynamic. Sustainable fishing leaves land open for reforestation
* Bioplastics are not necessarily better than recyclable plastics like PET
* Industrial cooking is more efficient than home cooking. Tinned tomatoes, chick peas, etc can be a good option
* Cling film is plastic, and plastic is not good. But if you use it carefully, you can prevent food waste, which is worse. Beeswax wrapping is ideal
* Leather can last over a decade, and is biodegradable. Fake leather is made from short lived plastic
* Cotton production is energy intensive. A cotton bag needs to be used 149 times to be more carbon efficient than plastic. Get a good one. Use it often
I was born in NYC, of course I sound like a New Yorker, by definition, you soggy sack of sauerkraut.
They will lecture you on gentrification, and they will not hire black or brown people at their nonprofit. Because they definitely have hiring power at some shitty nonprofit. It has "community" in the name but it's run by all white people who grew up a thousand miles away.
