Q: How do I screw in a light bulb?

A1: Why do you want to do that? It would be so much quicker to use a torch. It you have a wind-up one you don't even have to buy batteries!

A2: I can't believe you don't know how to do that. You're such a noob.

A3: Have you considered just living in darkness? It's more possible than you think ;)

A4: I wrote a blog post about this four years ago. Check it out: link-that-does-not-work .com

:dopefish: The Netscape Fishcam was the second public #webcam on the web. It went online in 1994 and it let you watch the Netscape office aquarium via a secret shortcut in Netscape Navigator by holding CTRL+ALT+F. I was a fan!

The camera survived the closure of Netscape and it's still online today as The Amazing Fishcam.

:dopeburp: Go on and take a look!

Carl Quacks was Carl Barks' negadimensional persona. He drew wealthy dog anthros who presided over a town full of talking ducks.

Carl Barks was his name, and he was the first furry.

While I appreciate most Metroid games having a tonal consistency, I do prefer the "55% Bram Stoker's Dracula/ 45% Monster Mash" mix that Castlevania brings to the table.

I don't care about spoilers. If I'm interested in something, I want to be spoiled i.e. learn things about it. I don't give a rat's ass about experiencing it for the first time without knowing anything going in. Fuck that. I don't particularly value being surprised. If anything, I am anti-surprise. I enjoy exploring and learning and avoiding surprises.

It's also incredibly annoying to try to talk about media while avoiding spoilers -- you literally have to repress yourself ffs.

Steven Universe hate fandom and anime hate fandom shaking hands over never shutting the fuck up about the media they are obsessed with

racist flags

The thing is, people'll be like, "I don't condone vandalism," when they're talking about a confederate statue or this dipshit's house getting spraypaint on it.

They'll tell you graffiti is ugly and encourages crime and shit, while some ugly-ass house decorated with racist symbols is just hanging out there.

Ok, Shrek probably didn't come out in the 90s, but it is spiritually a 90s movie. It has a gross-out animated protag, lots of sarcastic, reference-based humor, and Smash Mouth. It's not only a 90s movie, but the MOST 90s movie next to Tank Girl.

Yesterday I was talking about Mike Myers with a friend.

How the fuck did Mike Myers trick everyone alive in the 1990s into liking Wayne's World, Austin Powers, AND Shrek? Is he magic?

At this protest, my “Less wars more vores” sign has people from across the political spectrum quite angry with me
