an Amazon alternative: WorldCat
During the #AmazonStrike running on the 15th and 16th today, here's another alternative to know about:
WorldCat is a catalog of books and media that helps you find out if the book you want is available at *any* library systems near you.
Tips for using WorldCat: Don't forget that (in the US, at least), university and college libraries are open to the public, since your tax dollars pay for them. Remember about interlibrary loans, too: if a book's not available near you, you can ask for it to ne lent temporarily to your local library.

another kind of white nonsense
Anyway, glad 2be living in a city that didn't immediately cave to Amazon's greedy demands for tax breaks
another kind of white nonsense
Seattle literally has about the same population, and the same ethnic demographics, as Staten Island, the smallest and whitest borough of NYC.
another kind of white nonsense
Honestly, in Seattle, a lot of anti-Amazon sentiment is combined with anti-immigrant sentiment, so it's kind of hard to fuck with people who tell you they hate what Amazon is doing to the city, cuz you're just bracing yourself for them to start talking at you about Amazon bringing in too many foreigners.
Seattle is so white that tech is making it less white by hiring non-locals, and that is truly saying something.
Morrissey was never on my list because he's even ickier than Nergal Jr, a cartoon character designed to be creepy and whose storylines have a lot of incel/school shooter subtext
Nergal Jr. really resonated with me as a character, pre-transition, because he was a shapeshifting monstrosity that willingly chose to present as a young man with a black quiff and thick glasses. And those were my transition goals.
Trans, guy of center, well over 18.
I'm in tech and it feels weird.
