realization: since a lot of these songs i'm making remixes of with my custom sound set were originally made for better synths (such as opl3 or even opn)
my remixes count as demakes since the sound system i'm working with is equal to an opl2 :3
@azushark seeing you talking about remixes has me thinking, you might appreciate some of the 'demakes' that we made a few years back, if you're interested. We took some good video game music and arranged it with famitracker into something you could play on a famicom (I like that square-wave sound!). Some of them also use the VRC7, of which the audio portion is a stripped-down OPLL (which itself is a stripped-down OPL2)
