i understand a lot of people have trouble reading light colored text on a dark background but the opposite is true for me

without my glasses i have a lot of trouble reading dark text on a light bagkground, but i have no idea why???

anyone know why a potentiometer would be present on a device's composite video output?

all i know is messing around with it seemed to change how bright it was (tho at one end the colors got weird)
