i'd like to point out as of now mastodon is dealing with issues that are getting close to number *3000*
@abgd @squirrel i've seen them used as a way to request features many times and i think at this point it's a use for issues that should be acknowledged

there was a v good discussion about all this stuff last week in which we broke down this stuff into multiple features that can be implemented separately
