just followed 200 people and now the federated timeline has a ton of people in it, even people i didn't follow myself
and that folks is how you *actually federate an instance*
not a follow bot
just follow a good subset of people and let it branch out

@squirrelbutt basically lance had registered on mastodon.cloud, while william had registered on mastodon.club, meaning they couldn't find each other unless they gave each other their @'s and searched them
basically it just sorta became a joke with stuff like "not even william shatner could find me" and it was :ok_hand:
