@kirancodes e im assuming? Generally you kinda have to just dose yourself. And anything over 200pg\ml peak generally they will tell you to drop your dose.
so what i had to do in the past is mess with dose till proper blood levels from test when they tell u to drop dose do it for 2 weeks before retest then go back to proper doseage. as far as starting from ramp up levels. Just tell them your already on hormones but dont mention its diy.
@budsofstone@computerfairi.es sorry if this is a dumb question, what does 200pg/ML mean? I've seen people recommend like 4mg/5days od estradiol Valerate and stuff. I'm really new to injections, so I have no idea how like they dose it and have a little difficulty understanding what your suggesting.
For context I've been on pills up till now, and after agreeing to the dosage with the doctor, I'd get prescribed enough pills to last for 3 months, with instructions to take X pills per day.
Is it the same with injections? I'll agree like Xml per week, and like X × 12 ML of injection fluid? Or is it different? What should I keep a look out for w.r.t 200pg? I'm not sure what that means?
Oh and thanks for the heads up w.r.t diy. I do have a letter from the doctor with my previous dose, but I'll avoid saying that for injections I'm basing the dosage off the DIY hrt website
@kirancodes@transfem.social @budsofstone@computerfairi.es 200pg/ml is concentration of estrogen in your blood.
The dose of 4mg/5days will (if your body responds to E like the studies say) leave your dose at a much higher level, which would be suitable for monotherapy but they probably wouldn't like it.
I recommend this website for playing around with levels: https://estrannai.se/
It estimates based on the studies done, but each body is different. I only reach 55% of what the website projects for me, for example
@kirancodes@transfem.social @budsofstone@computerfairi.es so, for dose, you wanna see how many milligrams per milliliter of fluid, and then get your mg dose.
I have a 10mg/ml vial of E, so I take 0.4ml to inject. For valerate, I've seen vials of 5mg/ml, so you might need to take 0.8ml, but I'm not sure, the medication in Brazil is pretty different than the us
@kirancodes other than that you should be fine. Its informed consent so you dont have to tell them anything really other than you want estrogen and progestrone. You can try to fight for higher doseage but it most likely will get you nowhere and i recommend gettiing thru the onboaeding phase before trying to convence them to give you the proper doseage. Also i reccomend trying to find a different provider in the long term look around try some people out after you have secured hormones from them.
