The code in question:

If techies were as nerdy about physical health and community wellfair, as they are about protecting company assets and securing data. CONS wouldnt be superspreader events that cause disabling post viral illnesses.

@wgahnagl @helle i used to do that actually when i lived in portland, i would gather all the sharps from my polycule and friends and would take them to the needle exchange. I live in bum fuck no where now tho so i dont think there is one close by. The clostest "city" doesnt even have public trash cans

@helle @budsofstone but also like this should be way fucking easier to do, and not like, cult knowledge from people deep in direct action circles, and harm reduction groups should be accessible from your local pharmacy

@helle @wgahnagl yeah i dont return my sharps they just all in a pile of containers cause the only places to turn them in is police stations. And im prescribed my injectables

@wgahnagl i fucking remember in the early 2000s there where multipurpose biohazard cans next to the trash. For anything that could easily spread desease, like diapers, wipes, needles, bloody anything. Condoms should have also gone in there but people didnt.
im glad your reaching out to your city, cause ofcourse the cops want to be able to fine people for littering and arrest people with larger drug charges and fuck the enviro and community safety.

not to be a communist about it but if you're finding hypodermic needles in your public trash cans, your gut reaction shouldn't be to get rid of the trash can, it should be "thank god this ended up in a place where , a DPS worker trained in hazardous waste management can handle it, instead of a kid on the street"

@wgahnagl and we couldnt just put biohazard boxes next to the public trash. Like it would be sensible to do

@lea i literally just had a problem like this, in the end it was a dhcpd error for an app-armor service. The error you ask? Dhcpd isnt installed by default on that os anymore. But they didnt change their configs to reflect that. Anyway journalctl -xeu apt or journalctl -pu err apt might give some insight. Thats how i figuted out it was an apparmor error anyway.

@alice i picked up my current dog off highway 10 on the border of texas and Louisiana. The person i was with thought he was a coyote, but i was like nah thats a dog. People still think he is a coyote :blobjoy:

@jbz Browser: come on, be hierarchical polyam and make me your primary.🥺

Just be truly yourselves (which is of course the hardest thing for any human) 🏳️‍⚧️

@BeautifulThings looks like some monocot. I assume lilioid, but could be acorales too. Hard to tell with out flowers or habitat and region
Inaturalist would get you the best answer.

Trying to quit smoking cigarettes for like the 5th time since starting well over a decade ago. This shit is bar none the hardest to kick of anything I've ever done.
